Two Rescued While Being Trafficked to India

Rupandehi, bharat laandai gareka 2 kishoriko uddhar. Rupandehi/August 13 Police have rescued two girls from the area bordering India on August 13. The girls, 17 and 18 years old, were held along with Krishna Tamang, 19, of Shikharbesi VDC-6 and Sancha Tamang, 26, of Ralukadevi VDC, both of Nuwakot district accused of taking the girls across the border, at Sunauli of Belhiya, SP Bikram Singh Thapa informed. Investigation Officer of District Police Office, Inspector Pradeep Chhetri said that they were held when intercepted by police and staffs of Sana Hatharu deputed at the border. The police said that the girls were told that they were heading to Heatuanda to obtain the house ownership certificate adding the girls would be handed over their guardians once they arrive. The arrested duo would be charged under human trafficking, Inspector Chhetri said.
