A 47-year-old teacher Bam Bahadur Chhatyal working at Sarkegad Rural Municipality-8, Anshuba Lower Secondary School, Radeu was allegedly beaten up by 52-year-old Punimal Rokaya, a member of the same school management committee on November 5. But the assault incident was settled within the school. According to the victim, Rokaya, who was drinking alcohol while he was teaching at the school, grabbed him by the neck and threw him to the door without any reason and also vandalized two benches of the school.
Chhatyal said that he had lodged a complaint with the management committee and principal Prithvi Hamal on November 7. On the basis of the teacher's complaint, the accused Rokaya apologized saying that he would bear the cost of constructing two benches and would not abuse the teacher from now on.
