Congress cadres staged sit-in demanding to nominate NP Saud as General Secretary in Kathmandu

Congress General Convention delegates and office bearers staged a sit-in at Baluwatar Kathmandu demanding to nominate Union member and former minister  NP Saud as a General Secretary from the panel of President Sher Bahadur Deuba at the 14th General Convention of the Nepali Congress. Around 300 general convention delegates, district presidents and office-bearers participated in the sit-in. They are saying that the person who has been the president of the Nepal Students' Union and a two-time central member should not be stopped from becoming the general secretary. Leaders including government spokesperson and communications minister Gyanendra Bahadur Karki, home minister Bal Krishna Khan and joint general minister Prakash Sharan Mahat are also running for the post.
