Police arrested sixty cadres of a six-party alliance on the charge of picketing the parliamentary building in Baneshwor against MCC . Among those arrested were leaders and activists of a Biplav group and a six-party alliance, police said. They are kept at the Metropolitan Police Circle, Baneshwor. As soon as the parliament session started, the cadres picketed the parliament building chanting slogans. According to the Baneshwor Circle, they were taken under control after breaking the restricted area.
Police and the six-party alliance clashed in Kathmandu when they tried to enter the restricted area. During the protest, some cadres hurled stones and bricks at the police. According to the police, three cadres of the Biplav group were injured in the clash. The demonstrators picked the parliament building just in time for the meeting. Police said that those arrested will be released only after taking necessary action.
