According to the Area Police Office, Damak, 25-year-old Prakash Parajuli of Damak-2 was killed using a sharp weapon on December 15. Chief of the Damak Area Police Office, Deputy Superintendent of Police Nawaraj Karki said that Parajuli used to work at Ghimire Market in the main market of Damak. He was critically injured in the attack and was rushed to Lifeline Hospital for treatment. He was rushed to Birtamod Hospital for further treatment but the doctor declared him dead.
"Parajuli was attacked with Khukuri near the shutter inside the market at around 7.30 pm," said DSP Karki. Deputy Superintendent of Police Karki informed that those involved in the incident are absconding. He said that the search is on for those involved in the incident.

Police arrested Arjun Limbu, a 20-year-old youth, on December 18, on the charge of murdering Prakash Parajuli, a 25-year-old youth. According to the police, Limbu murdered the victim when he was returning back by fetching water.
