She was being taken to India in the pretext of foreign employment in the US by the accused after marrying her at a Shiva Temple in Hamja on April 16, 2013. The victim had lodged a complaint at District Police Office on April 23, 2013. On May 21, 2013, the accused was arrested by the police and was presented to the court. With a court order on June 16, 2013, he was remanded in custody.
