MAHOTTARI, AUG 14 - Eight members of a single family have been injured at Bathnaha VDC in Mahottari district after the house collapsed on Thursday morning following the incessant downpour. The injured are Mahendra Mahato, 40, Bijay Mahato, 45, Sanjit Mahato, 18, Ram Ishwor Mahato, Godabari Devi, 65, Nagina Kumari, 16, Manisha Kumari, 2, and Rajan Mahato, 5, of Bathnaha VDC-7. All the injured are receiving medical treatment at a health post, Bathnaha. Of the injured, condition of Godabari Devi is critical, said Satendra Yadav. The incident took place when the four-room house of Mahendra Mahato collapsed this morning following incessant rainfall from Wednesday. Locals rescued the Mahato family and took them to the health post. Property worth more than Rs 200,000 was destroyed, said victim Mahendra Mahato.
