Police arrested Tek Bahadur Wali, a 46-year-old resident of Runtigadhi Rural Municipality Ward No. 9, on December 22, on the charge of seriously injuring his three friends by hitting them with an iron rod who were sleeping in the same room in Rolpa after playing cards. The injured are identified as 39-year-old Saroj Pun of Runtigadhi-7, 42-year-old Bhim Bahadur Thapa and 43-year-old Mait Bahadur Bik of Sani Bheri village in Rukum West. All three are in critical condition. According to the police, they have been playing cards in the forest for two or three days. On December 21, the day of the incident, they went to sleep at the hotel in Holeri of Runtigadhi after playing cards together and Wali attacked his friends to avenge his loss in the card game.
