Suresh Thakur, a 25-year-old permanent resident of India's Bihar state, Sitamadi Gram Panchayat Bajpatti-10, who is currently residing in Dhanusha Janakpurdham sub-metropolis-16, was arrested on December 23 on the charge of abducting Krishna Mukhiya, a one-year-and-two-month-old child from Janakpurdham Sub-metropolis-17, Madhapur. The missing child complaint was filed by the victim's father on December 21. The victim was rescued from the Nepal-India border, Nagarain municipality-2, on December 23, and the accused was apprehended the same day, according to the police. According to DSP Jitendra Kumar Basnet, the child Krishna Mukhiya was handed over to his mother Sangita Mukhiya on December 24, and a case of abduction and hostage-taking was filed against the accused at the Dhanusha District Court.
