Youth arrested on the charge of killing friend in Tanahun

Tanahun police have arrested a young man on charge of killing a friend by striking a spade. Pujan Tiwari, 23, of Byas Municipality-11, Daraipadhera, has been arrested on charge of murdering Kiran Kumar Gurung, 26, of Pokhara, said Dinesh Raj Mainali, Chief of District Police Office, Tanahun.
Police had reached the spot after Gurung's murder in the morning and searched for the killer after he absconded. Tiwari, who was absconding after killing near his house on Thursday morning, was arrested by the command of Chief Police Inspector Prakash Bhushal of Bhanumukam Dumre Area Police Office.
According to Mainali, the accused was arrested during vehicle checking at Dumre Bazaar. The incident is being further investigated and the body of the deceased has been brought to Damauli Hospital for postmortem, police said.
