Janamat Party cadres clash with police near polling station in Janakpur, police fire tear gas

A clash has broken out between police and Janamat Party cadres in Janakpurdham of Dhanusha district. Police used batons and tear gas as they tried to enter the polling station of the National Assembly election. Police fired five rounds of tear gas to control the situation. Protesters have now dispersed from the polling station. But they have continued to protest at various places in Janakpurdham. Cadres of the CK Raut-led Janamat Party have been protesting by burning tires at various places in Janakpur since this morning.
