The Janamat Party, which has been agitating for farmers, has staged a 'chain rally'. According to the pre-announced program of the movement, the Janamat Party organized a chain rally in different places including the districts of Madhes on Saturday.

Leaders and activists of the party demanded that fertilizer should be made available to the farmers and their cadres arrested on Wednesday should be released. The Janamat Party has been agitating for the farmers with 11 points including pensions for farmers, automatic crop insurance, free electricity for agricultural meters, provision of fertilizers and seeds, crop compensation relief, fair support pricing of agricultural produce, payment of sugarcane farmers, withdrawal of cases against workers, cessation of repression on farmers and formation of a high-level investigation committee.
