CPN (Maoist Center) cadres vandalize residence of Chairperson of Adanchuli Rural Municipallity in Humla

Cadres of CPN (Maoist Center) pelted stones at the residence of Dal Bahadur Fadera, chairperson of Adanchuli Rural Municipality of Humla Dakshin Dhika on April 9, midnight. According to the authorities, the Maoist cadres attacked Fadera's house in retaliation for the alleged vandalism at a hotel where Maoist cadres were stying on Friday by cadres of CPN-UML led by Fadera.
Locals stated that Maoist cadres who came out in a large number vandalized Fadera's house and broke a solar panel. The Maoist cadres accused the Fadera led CPN-UML group of vandalizing hotel and shop, chanting slogans, and physically assaulting a person on April 8. Police stated that Fadera was at his home. There are fears that tensions between the two parties could escalate as both sides are agitated.
