Humla reeling under food shortage

org SMS Alert, HUMLA, Khadyana ko abav ma humla. Employees from other districts here have left Humla district after food shortage hit the district for the last three months. The employees from other districts working at different government offices and NGOs have left the district to evade the food crisis. Locals are compelled to bring wheat flour and other food stuff from Taklakot, a town in Tibet, China, across the border at exorbitant price. Even noodles are not available in the district headquarters, Simikot as the supply of foodstuff remains cutoff due to the disruption in air transport, the only means of transport, to the district due to continuous rain.
