CPN-UML central member Madhav Dhungel has been physically assaulted by another member of the party. He was attacked by CPN-UML Central Liaison Committee member Laxmi Neupane on April 18, during a meeting about the nomination of candidate from the party for the post of chairperson and deputy chairperson of Khandadevi Rural Municipality of Ramechhap. Dhungel's wife Sarita Dahal sustained injury in the incident while she was trying to save her husband.
