The Metropolitan Committee  Secretaries Tubaraj Bastola and Ganesh Bahadur Thapa of the Nepali Congress (NC) have padlocked the Kaski Congress party office on April 20, in Pokhara, agitating over the decision of of the party to give the candidacy of the mayor of Pokhara to CPN (Unified socialist) as a part of the electoral coalition. The demonstrators claimed that the self-esteem of the general cadres has been hurt when the candidacy for mayor of Pokhara was handed over to the Unified Socialist Party without consulting the Pokhara Metropolitan Committee.
