Ajendra Waiba Tamang, a Nepali Congress (NC) cadre, padlocked the party's office in Phidim of Panchthar on April 24 protesting that the party's chairperson Rupnarayan Jabegu had been running the party from Manashvi hotel owned by NC's Panchthar district secretary Deepak Nepal instead of party office. Jabegu and Nepal considered close to NC chairperson Sher Bahadur Deuba.
