Roshan Pandey, a contender for candidacy of mayor of Namobuddha Municipality in Kavrepalanchowk from Nepali Congress was attacked by supporters of Kunsang Lama, another contender for mayoral post from Nepali Congress. The incident took place on April 24 during the meeting to finalize the candidate from Nepali Congress at Banepa Village resort. Pandey sustained injuries on various parts of his body in the assault and is undergoing treatment at Shir Memorial hospital, Banepa.
