One injured in a clash between CPN (Maoist Centre) cadres in Jumla, over disagreement in candidate selection for local level election

A clash broke out between the cadres of CPN (Maoist Centre) in Hima Rural Municipality of Jumla on April 27, over a dispute regarding candidacy in Local level election. 45-year-old Chattra Adhikari, a cadre of the party sustained injury in the incident.
There was a dispute after CPN (Maoist Centre) Jumla gave the ticket for the candidacy for the post of deputy chairperson of Hima Rural Municipality to wo contenders Binasha Rokaya of Hima-2, and Kalpana Damai of Hima-1.
Binasha Rokaya, Maoist Centre's official candidate for the local election claimed that she was in the processing of registering her nomination but some party cadres filed the candidacy in the name of Kalpana Damai, which led to the clash. She further added that legal action should be taken against the one that is responsible.
A central member CPN (Maoist Centre) and district in-charge Gajendra Bahadur Mahat said that the dispute arose after some who were not happy with party's recommendation to make Rokaya candidate registered Kalpana as the party's official candidate.
