Cadres of Nepali Congress (NC) vandalized the party's ward office in Ratnanagar Municipality of  Chitwan on May 4, after the candidacy for the post of chairperson of Ward 12 of the municipality was  awarded to CPN (Maoist Center) as part of electoral alliance. Furious NC cadres vandalized furniture, threw NC flag on the street and padlocked the party office.

NC cadres who were campaigning for Anita Aryal as the candidate for Ward 12's  chairperson were agitated after the party decided to nominate CPN (Maoist Centre)'s Sundarmani Subedi for the same post in the name of electoral alliance.
