Cadres of Young Communist League (YCL) a sister organization of the CPN (Maoist Center) vandalized the Nuwakot Police station in Tribeni municipality-9 of Rukum West during a clash between Nepali Congress (NC) and CPN (Maoist Center) cadres on May 5, alleging that the police station was sheltering NC cadres.

Maoist and NC cadres clashed throwing stones at each other during election campaign on May 5. 13 NC cadres took shelter at Nuwakot police station after they were chased by the Maoist Centre cadres during the clash..The two sides also clashed on Wednesday evening when Maoist cadres vandalized the vehicle used by NC's Tribeni Rural Municipality Chairperson candidate Amar Singh Khadka. 

DSP Bisnu Prashad Soti confirmed the report of the clash between Maoist and NC cadres. According to him YCL cadres threw stone at the police station demanding to bring out the NC cadres.
