Kapilbastu, Tin dalit pariwar ko ghar ma talabandi. Non-dalits of Sisaniya, Labani VDC-5 have locked out the homes of Chandraman Harijan, Ramnibas Harijan and Kartaram Harijan on August 23. Dalit human rights Indra Prasad Harijan informed the lock out was prompted after the non-dalits suspected a dalit youth of having inter-caste marriage with their daughter. Binay Kumar Harijan, 21, the son of Chandraman and Sita Tharu, 19, of the same place had gone missing a few days ago. Binay’s uncle Ram Niwas Harijan was arrested by Pakadi Area Police Office on August 30 after the girl’s family complained against them. Ram Niwas was released from custody only on August 22. Chandraman said he had no idea about the whereabouts of his son and Sita.
