An unidentified group torched a vehicle (Scorpio) being used by Tarka Bahadur Badhuwal, CPN-UML's mayoral candidate in Aathbiskot municipality of Dailekh on May 9 morning. According to Badhuwal, the vehicle bearing plate number Ba 19 Cha 5579 was parked in a Shristi Hotel in Aathbiskot municipality-8, and the driver was sleeping inside at the time of the incident. After finding out that the vehicle was on fire the driver drove it to the river to extinguish the fire due to which the vehicle sustained only minor damage. Police are investigating the incident according to Area Police Office Rakam.
