Four people including temporary police were injured in a clash between Nepali Congress and CPN-UML cadres in Shailyasikhar municipality of Darchula on May 8 morning during election campaign. According to Rajesh Bista, CPN-UML municipal committee's chairperson, the clash erupted during the election campaign when Nepali Congress cadres tried to obstruct CPN-UML from organizing election campaign in the area. Cadre Harka Parki of Nepali Congress, driver Prajapti Mahara of CPN-UML, Raju Kolu and Gopal Bista, a temporary police sustained minor injuries in the clash
During election campaigns, CPN-UML and Nepali Congress resorted to vandalizing each other's vehicle. The vehicle bearing number plate of Ma 1 Ja 267 of Nepali Congress was vandalized by CPN-UML and vehicle bearing number plate of Ma 1 ja 516 of CPN-UML was vandalized by Nepali congress in Gokuleshwor.
