Nepali Congress cadres attacked Top Bahadur BC, CPN-UML candidate for the post of chairperson of Gurans Rural Municipality on May 9 while he was returning after attending  an election campaign program at ward 7 of the rural municipality. According to BC, he sustained injury in the attack and the Congress cadres also issued death threat against him.  According to BC, Nepali Congress also threatened to murder him. Dailekh Police Chief Bhubaneshwor stated the incident was normal as often happen during the times of election.
