Two people were injured in a clash between the cadres of CPN (Maoist Center) and Nepali Congress in Bakaiya rural municipality-7 of Makawanpur on May 9 over an election related dispute. Laxmi Majhi also known as Kripa, a CPN (Maoist Center) leader alleged that Ram Bahadur Rai of Nepali Congress along with other 20-25 cadres attacked Bishnu Rai chairperson of CPN (Maoist Center)'s Katlekhola toll committee and Hari Rai, deputy chairperson of (RPP) Rastriya Prajatantra Party's rural committee. She further added that the injured are undergoing medical treatment at Churehill Hospital in Hetauda. Police stated that the matter was a family affair rather than political matter.
