CPN-UML cadres Sanjib Bhandari and Sagar Regmi were injured in a clash between CPN-UML and Nepali Congress in Tilottama Municipality-16 of Rupandehi on May 9. Bhandari sustained serious injuries on his ear, chest, and head in the incident whereas Regmi sustained a minor injury. CPN-UML cadres alleged that the cadre of Nepali Congress attacked them.
Deputy Inspector at the Area Police Office, Mangalapur, Laxman Dangi said that police had requested the UML cadres to go to Butwal to lodge a complaint. Butwal Area Police Office Deputy Superintendent of Police Thag Bahadur KC said that he was not aware of the incident as he was out of office. Police have not arrested anyone involved in the incident so far. Tilottama is the hometown of Home Minister Bal Krishna Khand.
