Clashes were reported between cadres of political parties in different places of Sarlahi during silence period for election on Wednesday night. Nepali Congress candidate for the post of chairperson of Basbariya municipality Ramayodhya Raya sustained minor injuries after being beaten by CPN-UML cadres according to local Congress leaders. Raya sustained injury on his hand. UML has meanwhile refuted the claim of attack on Raya. Janata Sajamwadi Party's candidate for chairperson Ram Sinhasan Yadava has also sufferred mistreatment at the hands of cadres of other political parties.
