Binita Thapaliya, 35, of Handigaun in Kathmandu Municipality-5 has lodged a complaint against her husband Umesh Prasad Thapaliya, 35, at Woman and Children Service Center under the Kalimati Metropolitan Police Range on August 22. She accused him of assaulting her. She demanded action against the accused under domestic violence Act for beating her on August 21. She further accused her husband of having extra-marital relationship and depriving her of food and clothes. Based on the complaint, legal action would be initiated against the accused, said Sushila Pradhan, chief of WCSC.
