Voting at a polling center in Saptari has been halted after the Polling Officer at the center was assaulted. A group of people assaulted Bipin Yadav, Polling Officer at Haribaba Janata Secondary school polling center of Dakneshwori municipality-2.  Bipin sustained injury in the assault according to election officer Shambhunath Magar and was sent to Rajbiraj for treatment. The group assaulted staffs at the polling center and and vandalized voting materials when more than two thousand votes had been cast. Voting was unlikely to resume today according to eleciton officer Magar.
