Five injured in a clash between police and political party cadres in Sindhuli over transporting ballot boxes to counting site

Five people including two temporary police were injured in a clash between police and the cadres of political parties in  Ghanglekh rural municipality-2 of Sindhuli on May 13 night. According to Election Officer Bimal Thapa, the clash took place following a dispute after cadres of CPN (Maoist Center) raised suspicion stating that the ballot boxes were transported to the vote counting site without the presence of their representative. According to Maoist center leader DB Tamang, when the party representatives tried to get information into the issue, Sudan Thing the polling officer refused to provide information. CPN (Maoist Center) cadres chanted slogans and demanded an investigation into the matter. Afterwards, discussions were held between the Nepali Congress, CPN (Maoists Center), CPN-UML, Janata Samajwadi Party and the security forces.
