Cadres of Janata Samajwadi Party (JaSaPa), Loktantrik Samajwadi Party (LoSaPa), CPN (Maoist Center) and Nepali Congress clashed in Kaudena rural municipality in Sarlahi on May 14. Meanwhile, the situation became tense after a Nepali Congress supporter pelted stones at the vehicle of Agriculture and Livestock Development Minister Mahendra Rai. Police fired five-rounds of warning shots to mitigate the situation.
The JaSaPa, LoSaPa and CPN (Maoist Center) were demanding re-polling in Motipur of Kaudena rural municipality-4 while the Nepali Congress is demanding recount of votes. According to election officer for Kaudena Viswanath Aryal, the JaSaPa leader filed a petition at the Chief Electoral Officer's Office seeking re-polling.
