Six people were injured in a clash between voters and police in Rambha rural municipality of Palpa on May 15 during a dispute regarding vote counting. Three police and 3 voters were injured in a clash. The dispute arose after 74 more votes than the number of registered voters were found to have been casted. The clash took place while the coalition party cadres were trying to reach the office of the election officer. Chief District Officer of Palpa Jagannath Pant said that the police fired tear gas after three policemen were charged and injured by the pelted stones and batons.
