Syangja, Pahiro ma pari 2 jana mariye, 4 gaite. Two persons died and four others sustained injuries in Syangja on Tuesday evening due to incessant rain and lightning in the district. Among the dead, Urmila Shah of Putalibazaar Municipality-9 was buried to death in a landslide resulting from continuous downpour while Dilmaya Gurung of Magyam Chisapani VDC-7 died after being struck by lightning, according to District Police Office Syangja. The injured have been identified as Bhadra Bahadur Shah (52), Labdhe Shah (29), Amrit Shah (19) and a 14-year-old Sujan Shah. Flooding resulting from the incessant rain has swept away houses and barns and inundated thousands of ropanis of land.
