The cadres of CPN-UML staged a demonstration in Triyuga municipality of Udayapur on May 19 demanding start of vote count for local election. The demonstrators picketed the election office in Gaighat. Voting was postponed in Ward 12 of Triyuga municipality in Udayapur on May 13, due to a dispute. However, the counting of votes could not start as no consensus could be reached despite repeated all-party meetings. Nepali Congress and CPN-UML are demanding the start of vote count while Maoist Center and Unified Socialist are calling for re-election.
