CPN-UML cadres seriously injured in alleged attack from Nepali Congress cadres in Dharmadevi of Sankhuwasabha

The cadres of CPN-UML accused the cadres of the Nepali Congress of physically assaulting them in Dharmadevi municipality-1 on May 19 night. Issusing a press statement, CPN-UML's Dharmadevi municipal committee accused Nepali Congress cadres of  attacking its member Narayan Limbu on the night May 19 while he was returning home.

Limbu sustained serious injuries on his head, legs, and different body parts. He was sent to Birat Nurshing home from BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences after he could not be treated there. The CPN-UML committee drew the attention of the local administration toward the attack and demanded strong action against those involved. UML blamed Congress cadres failure to accept defeat in the local election as the main motive for the attack. According to information officer of DPO Sankhuwasabha Saroj Khanal, a security team from Area Police Office Chainpur was immediately sent to the site of the attack immediately after being informed about the incident.
