Unable to bear the brunt of his granddaughter's rape charge on him, an elderly of Panauti-2, Subba Gaun, has committed suicide on Monday night. The deceased has been identified as Indra Bahadur KC (72). His granddaughter had registered a police case claiming that both her father grand-father had been raping her continuously for the past several years. Police have already taken the girl's father Prakash KC under custody for investigation. However, they were yet to arrest the elderly grandfather. According to the relatives, Indra Bahadur went to bed at around 10 pm yesterday after dinner. He killed self by consuming poison in the night, said SP Arun BC. The 19-year-old girl has claimed that her father Prakash had been raping her for the past five years. She has also accused her grandfather Indra Bahadur of raping her before that. Prakash was arrested on Sunday. "Father has raped me several times over last five years," the girl's statement registered at the police reads. "Before that, grandfather used to rape me occasionally." It has been learnt that the victim had attempted suicide two weeks ago.
