Devi Nepali and Ram Kumari Damai of Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) have filed a complaint at District Police Office on August 27 against the office staff accusing him of caste-based discrimination against them. According to them, Krishna Raymajhi had made them leave a Dar function organized on August 26 to mark Teej. They claimed that Rayamajhi asked them to leave the program hall and gave them food outside the hall. Clarifying his intention, accused staff Rayamajhi rejected the charge and said that he just asked Nepali and Damai to vacate the chair for office chief Nawal Kishor Rohit as there was shortage of chairs in the hall. Rohit also claimed that there was no incident of caste-based discrimination. DSP Shiva Shrestha said that the police had initiated investigation.
