Police arrested Sob Bahadur Pun, 34, Dhiraj Ramja,16, Jogendra Nepali, 30, Prakash Nepali, 20, and Indra Bahadur Pun, 45, of Rajagithi, Tribeni rural municipality-2 on May 25, on the charge of physically assaulting Khim Bahadur Pun, a 37-year-old Nepali Congress cadre of Tribeni rural municipality-2 of Salyan. According to the complaint, the accused assaulted the victim with a baton on his body including his head when he was returning from the victory party of newly elected ward chairperson Hasta Bahadur Ramja. According to the police, the accused might have been under the influence of alcohol when they assaulted the victim. The Nepali Congress Salyan demanded to take action against the accused who assaulted Pun without any solid reason.
