Two groups of students from Institute of Medicine Tribhuvan University clashed against each other on the night of May 27. Two students from second year studying MBBS named Sagar Khadka, and Birendra Jung Kunwar were injured in the clash. The victim's alleged the seniors of assaulting them. One of the victim Kunwar is being treated at the ICU in Tribuvan University Teaching Hospital (TUTH).
The victims have filed complaint at Area Police Circle, Maharajgunj against the seniors Sulav Acharya, Ramesh Balayar, Surya Prakash Joshi, Shiva Singh, Bikas Dev, Suraj Bhatta, Samrat Bhatta, and Sumit Bohora. Another injured, Khadka said that, they were attacked by seniors under the influence of alcohol and charged with sharp objects including broken glass panes.
