Supporters of  Lokendra Bhandari, an independent candidate for the post of Vice-Chairperson, who was denied the candidacy by Nepali Congress allegedly attacked the ward chairperson of Nepali Congress, Ratan Bhandari from Adanchuli rural municipality-2, in Humla on May 28. Prior that day, the municipal level meeting of Nepali Congress had decided to replace the previous ward chairperson, Mr, Harichandra Bhandari with the injured Ratan, charging the former of helping the independent candidate and the UML's candidate in the local level elections. 

The ward chairperson of Nepali Congress, from Adanchuli rural municipality-2, in Humla has been referred to higher medical facilities in Surkhet after primary treatment at the health-post in the rural municipality.
