Dhanusha,Agyaat samuha dwara goli hani mahila ko hattya. A woman has been shot dead by an unidentified group at her home in Nokolba VDC-5 on August 29 night. According to Inspector Birendra Thakur, the group shot Amrita Devi Mahato, 23, in her chest once from the window of the house. She died on the spot. Shrawan Mahato, 30, had married Amrita as his second wife one and half yeaers ago. His first wife Lalita Devi had filed a case demanding property at the district court following his second marriage. Quoting Shrawan, Inspector Thakur said that his first wife Lalita sent shooters to kill her from her paternal home in Bihar, India. Post-mortem of the deceased was conducted at district hospital in Sarlahi on August 30. Inspector Thakur said that investigation was ongoing into the incident.
