Kailali,Balatkar muddha parivaar bhitra milomato A report has been received by Nepal Monitor from the Far Western Region regarding the settlement of a rape case within the family without involving the police. A girl was raped by her uncle, with whom she has been living since the death of her parents. The girl’s two brothers, who were living away from home at the time of the rape, learned about it a month after the crime was committed. When the brothers approached the local WHRD the uncle and his son tried to settle the case within the family. According to the latest update the case has been settled, and a compensation of one lakh NRS and a piece of land has been transferred to the victim.
