Police arrested Sanjaya Giri a 38-year-old man husband of the victim and 21-year-old Kushal Giri nephew of the victim from Kanchan rural municipality on June 23, on the suspicion of murdering 25-year-old Subina Giri of Tilottama municipality-6. The dead body of the victim was recovered from her own hotel in the state of hanging herself on June 14 morning. The victim was sent to Crimson Hospital Mangram when she was declared dead. The complaint against the accused was lodged by the victim's father Naru Giri of Kawasoti municipality-16 on the charge of murder after the post-mortem report showed that the victim was strangled to death. 

The family and the relatives of the victims alleged that the dead body of the victim sustained various bruises, her hair was messy and there were several marks of nails on her body. They demanded to take legal action against the accused and demanded to give property to the victim's two minor sons.
