Youth Association Nepal, affiliated to the Communist Party of Nepal (Unified Socialist), has staged a demonstration in Kathmandu against the State Partnership Program (SPP). The youths who participated in the protest at Maitighar Mandala in Kathmandu on Saturday also chanted slogans against the SPP. The department staged the protest demanding that the government clarify about the SPP. The young leaders have also demanded that everyone should clarify the issue as various individuals and organizations have joined hands and created more confusion about the SPP. Addressing a corner meeting after the protest, Dilu Pant, a politburo member of the Unified Socialist Party and in-charge of the youth association, said that the SPP was against the interest of the nation and demanded its repeal.
