Palpa,Palpa gau ma 80 parivar bhuskhalan ko uccha jokhim ma. PALPA: As many as 80 families of Birkot and Gejha VDCs of the district are at high risk of landslide. All 32 households of Birkot-8, Machabari are vulnerable to mudslide. At least 64 members of seven households of the same settlement had gone missing last year due to the natural disaster. Similarly, 50 families residing along Gejha-6, Barbhanjyang to Humdikhola of the district are also reeling under landslide threat. The land here is so fragile that it starts sliding no sooner a big rain takes place. The landslide has rendered families of Ram Prasad Sunar and Bir Bahadur Sunar homeless while other families here are also on verge of displacement.
