The accused was arrested following a complaint lodged by the victim's family at district police office on September 2, said DSP Binod Raj Kharel of DPO. He will be charged under rape, according to Kharel. The condition of the victim is critical. She has been taken to Kathmandu on September 1 for further treatment after she could not be treated at district hospital of Diktel. The health report of the victim showed that a stick was inserted into the girl's vagina after rape. The victim's family said that the girl has not gained consciousness.
