A complaint has been lodged at District Police Office of Diktel against central member of Youth Association, Dil Chakra Rai, 34, of Chiuridanda VDC-1 and district member Moti Raj Rai, 28, of Udaipur Bansbote VDC-7 on September 4 on charge of assaulting Pradeep Rai, 22, a sub-overseer at Department of Roads. The accused assaulted sub-overseer Pradeep Rai on September 3 while he was on the site. According to Pradeep, he was attacked over the dispute of commission regarding the construction of Diktel-Chakhewa bhanjyang section along the mid-hill highway. The victim is getting treatment at district hospital. Among the accused, Moti Raj Rai has been arrested by the police on September 3 whereas the other accused is at large, according to ASI Manoj Yadav of DPO. Public offence case has been lodged against the accused, said Yadav.
