Police arrested Ekraj Thapa, 29, Ganesh Thapa, 34, and Jhanak Kumar Vishwakarma, 36, of Sotang rural municipality-5 on June 28, on the charge of assaulting with Durga Prasad Rai, 40, and Sandesh Tamang, 25, ward members of Sotang rural municipality-2. According to the victims, the accused smeared black on their faces and made them wear the garland of shoes. The accused alleged that the victims voted for Nepali congress contrary to the party's constitution, code of conduct, dignity and whip in the temptation of money in the election held for the formation of the rural executive committee of Sotang municipality. The victim lodged the complaint against the accused on the charge of assaulting on June 6.
