Laxmi Kami, 19, of Dillichaur VDC-8 has lodged a complaint at Women and Children Service Center under the District Police Office on September 3 accusing her husband Par Bahadur Kami of assaulting her. She has been taking a shelter at short-term service center established for the victims of domestic and sexual violence in Khalanga. SI Sushila Karki of the DPO said that the police post of Dillichaur has been directed to arrest the accused based on the complaint lodged by the victim. Similarly, Deepa Thapa, 23, of Patmara VDC-1 has lodged a complaint against her husband Janga Bahadur Thapa, 27, at WCSC on September 3 on charge of mistreating and beating her. She has been taking shelter at short-term service center established for the victims of domestic and sexual violence. SI Sushila Gurung said that the investigation regarding the incident is ongoing.
